Moss campion

Moss campion (Silene acaulis) - Fjällglim in Swedish, this beautiful little flower that grows in cushions all across our mountain landscapes, is my favorite. It has given its name to my guiding business, Fjällglim Adventure. Moss campion is a small, low-growing plant that thrives in harsh, high-alpine environments. With its dense green mats and bright pink flowers, it lights up mountain heaths and rocky slopes during the summer. Despite its delicate appearance, moss campion is a true survivor – resilient against cold, wind, and nutrient-poor soil. It usually blooms in June and July and is a beloved symbol of the mountains’ beauty and endurance.
